ゼミ見学はできますか？
Can I request to join online or observe the weekly meeting on-spot?
いつでも見学可能です。佐藤研の雰囲気やゼミの様子を体感していただくためにも、ぜひ希望者は一度ゼミ見学にいらしてください。オンラインでのご相談も可能です。詳しくはお問い合わせください。

留学生も入れますか？
Can international students apply?
留学生も可能です。例年0～2名程度留学生が入学しています。ゼミは基本的には日本語で行われますが、留学生がいる場合は英語も併用しています。英語で論文を書くこともできます。
Yes, international students are also accepted. Usually, 0 to 2 foreign students are admitted every year. Seminars are basically conducted in Japanese, but English is also used when international students are present. Students can also write research papers in English and have an one-on-one meeting with Dr. Jin Sato.

ゼミの頻度はどれくらいですか？
How often do you have meetings?
ゼミは毎週行う時期もあれば、隔週の時期もあります。佐藤先生と学生で相談して日程や内容を決定します。2019年度は毎週対面でゼミを行い、2020年度は新型コロナウイルスにより隔週、オンラインでの実施となりました。2024年時点、毎週の金曜日に本郷キャンパスの東文研で行います。
Some meetings (seminars) are held every week, while others are held every other week. Dr. Sato and the students will consult with members to determine the schedule and content. In 2019, the seminar was held weekly in person; in 2020, due to the pandemic, it was held biweekly and online; as of 2025, it is held every Friday morning (10 am to 12 pm) at Hongo campus and hybrid from New York, US.
